Winter Poem

by | Nov 17, 2018 | Poetry | 3 comments

Its powdery stillness beckons
With a call I cannot resist
I step into the frosty haze
Of a world so freshly snow-kissed

Like nature’s confetti it falls
Deepening the carpet of white
The horizon’s silvery shimmer
Draws its veil before the sunlight

My footsteps muted by its softness
Each breath hung frozen in the air
The fields adorned with glittering crowns
Trees frosted with artistic flair

The landscape in sparkling beauty
Covered with its blanket of fleece
Floods my heart with the wonderment
Of God’s wintry masterpiece
